Inductance

Design Interaction programme from the Royal College of Art commissioned us to design the identity for a series of talks, discussions and workshops on near-future technology.

The term inductance might be incomprehensible to many of us, but this mysterious electrical property is what supports our modern technological lifestyle. It is the essential property of copper that has given us the ability to distribute electricity to our cities and villages. It is the discovery that has given us the ability to abstract electricity, to hide it, to make it ubiquitous.

The idea was to build a typeface that would pass the idea of distribution and circuit.
